The Customs department has seized 6.6 kilogram of smuggled gold worth Rs 2.5 crore at the Inter-state bus terminus in Guwahati today.
Acting on a tip-off, sleuths of the customs department seized the gold consignment from a Imphal-Guwahati bound bus.

Two persons identified as Nasir Khan and Somnath Subarao Mane were arrested in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, the latest seizure has once again exposed the gold smuggling nexus with Guwahati as the transit point.
