A crucial meet was held on April 30 between 28 organisations and intellectuals of Assam.

The meet, which was held at the All Assam Students’ Union headquarters in Guwahati, saw both sides deliberating over the Citizenship Amendment Bill.

The organisations and the intellectuals jointly opposed the Amendment Bill and a decision was taken to launch a statewide movement if the Bill was not scrapped altogether.

The meeting saw the attendance of AASU advisor Samujjal Bhattacharjya and the representatives of all the 28 organisations including Pramod Boro.
