While the flood scenario continues to be grim in Assam, railway services which had been stalled in several places of the state are being renewed.
Northeast Frontier Railways have been engaged in the repairing of railway tracks on a war footing. Train services have already begun in the Silch ar-Agartala line even as floods continue to wreak havoc in the Cachar district.
The NF Railways have also completed the repairing of the Lumding-Badarpur line. Rail services are expected to renew on the line within a span of 12 hours. This has been communicated by the NF Railway’s Public Relations Officer Nripen Bhattacharya.
