Marking the first ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister in over 20 years, Narendra Modi will undertake a state visit to three African countries, namely Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa, over five days, starting today.

The Prime Minister will first arrive at Rwanda and thereafter proceed to Uganda, where he will undertake engagements from July 24 to 25. From July 25 to 27, Prime Minister Modi will pay a visit to South Africa to attend the BRICS summit.

Modi’s official engagement in Rwanda and Uganda will include bilateral meetings with the presidents of both the nations, delegation-level talks and meetings with the business and the Indian communities respectively.
