A new stage in Indo-Myanmar relations has begun as international entry-exit checkpoints have been opened from today morning onwards at the border between the two countries.

This was confirmed by Indian ambassador to Myanmar Vikram Misri who stated that two checkpoints have been opened up simultaneously.

One checkpoint has been opened at the Tamu-Moreh border between Manipur and the Sagaing division, while the other checkpoint has been opened up at the Zokhawthar-Rikhawdar border between Mizoram and Myanmar’s Chin state.
