In a significant move the Tripura high court has directed the state government to allow all political parties to organize their programs.

The decision followed after the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra moved the court after the Tripura police denied permission to the party to hold a demonstration.

It may be mentioned, that the INPT wanted to hold the demonstration demanding for an NRC like exercise in the state.

The court observed that denial of permission for an agitation violates the directives of the Supreme court and advised the government to follow the rule of law as established in the country.
